petition to make this image the new lgbt pride flag
why? because it is much more effective if a straight white man says something? don’t get me wrong, I think it is amazing what macklemore did and it is amazing that is has an effect on young people, a positive influence regarding the opinion on the lgbtqia community.
but there’s still a long way to go and by making this the pride flag (even jokingly) it mocks all the pain and suffering and fighting gay people endured in the last decades by trying to do the same thing: fight for acceptance and equality.
